WINGAS GmbH & Co. KG is a joint venture of Wintershall Holding AG in Kassel, Germany’s largest crude oil and natural gas producer, and Russia’s OAO Gazprom.
It has been active in gas distribution since 1993 and supplies natural gas to public utilities, regional gas suppliers, industrial facilities and power plants in Germany and other European countries via the network of pipelines, which now extends to over 2,000 kilometers.
The WINGAS companies also market transport and storage capacity as well as fiber-optic capacity; they are active in natural gas trading and procurement activities and operate gas pipelines and storage facilities.
